WHAT I SAY

If you read my post back in March reviewing the Sephora & Pantone Universe Tangerine Tango Cream Lipstick you may have noted I am a bit of a Pantone wanker "fan". The whole colour of the year phenomenon is totally overdone now, I'm thinking they need a "half yearly" colour? Or maybe I just need another excuse to buy things...

Like everything in the Sephora + Pantone Universe collection the glosses are adorned in fabulous great quality packaging, I was contemplating keeping it being fond of the little "paint chip" colour squares - but I try to keep my hoarding of unnecessary rubbish to a minimum these days.

The quality is consistently a cut above many other lip glosses on the market. Thin, silky and not at all sticky they glide on and feel extremely comfortable and hydrating. I'm obsessed with fruity/sweet scent. I'm so in love I'm praying Sephora release more glosses with this formula in more "wearable" shades. You can see in the swatches below the pigmentation of the vivid is insane, unlike anything I've witnessed in a gloss before. Unfortunately this makes feathering/spreading quite prominent so you'll need to pair with a trust worthy lip pencil.

I can't believe this lipgloss is set is only $20, the formula is very reminiscent of Chanel's Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss which retails for $32 each! Clearly I am a huge fan and recommend you pick this set up if you can still get your hands on it, I know it's sold out online but can still be found in many Sephora stores - and it's even been spotted on SALE for $14! Run, don't walk to your nearest Sephora.

Tangerine Tango Vivid

The most "vivid" of all four shades (go figure) - a super pigmented tangerine creme gloss.

Tangerine Tango Luminous

Although this shade is a lot sheerer then the Vivid it is still quite a bold orange lip. The glitter particles are quite beautiful, reminiscent of tiny diamonds.

Tangerine Tango Opal

Stain like orange tint with pink and golden micro shimmer. My favourite in the set.

Tangerine Tango Glaze

The most wearable of the set, a very juicy slight pinky orange tint with super fine yellow, pink and silver shimmer.

What are your thoughts on the Tangerine Tango "colour of the year"? Over done? I for one am getting a little bored with it - bring on 2013 colour of the year!
