A very lushly christmas!

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas in my house without the wonderful scents of Lush beaming out of our bathroom. The best products from Lush are always the holiday scents, so i go a bit crazy when December rolls around and i can once again buy the cheesy novelty bath products i've been missing all year.

Now i know Lush hauls are usually a bit useless, it's difficult for me to explain fragrances but i think it's important to share particular products that are out there because when you walk into Lush it can a little overwhelming with so much to pick from and heavenly scents coming from everywhere. I just have to add that if you haven't tried anything from Lush boy are you missing out, they are the best bath products on the market and i've tried a hell of a lot. Have a browse through this post and even the Lush website, pick something that appeals to you and give it a try....... i promise you won't be disappointed!

Lil Lush Pud

For a fragrant, relaxing soak (especially after a heavy night out), chuck this spicy and sweet pudding into your bath.

Santsumo Santa Ballistic

Santa is back and he’s a nice, bright orangey-red. At Christmas time when we feel tired and used up, he’ll lovingly refresh you with mandarin oil, bergamot oil and orange blossom absolute and will relieve your stress as well as tone your skin too: just right.

Cinders Bath Ballistic

Cinders Bath Ballistic is the colour of a glowing ember and it crackles, we added popping candy so it also sounds like burning logs as you lie in the bath listening to your Ballistic.

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar

Escape from seasonal stresses with a soothing, deep blue, floral bubble bath. Irish moss powder forms a soothing, softening gel in the beautifully blue water; the floral and sensual scents of jasmine and ylang ylang are relaxing, and the oils are good for caring for sensitive skins.

Gingerbread House Bubble Bar

Christmas is a confectioner's dream, especially with our Gingerbread House Bubble Bar. It is sweetly spiced like fresh gingerbread and there's no wicked witch in sight, nor any sign of Hansel or Gretel eating her out of house and home.

Candy Cane Bubble Bar

While acknowledging that a stick of baking soda and cream of tartar doesn't sound quite as appealing as a stick of sugar, we think you'll change your mind once you smell Lush's Candy Cane. Making another popular comeback, our pink and white swirled stick of solid bubble bath brings froth and fragrant bubbles to your tub.

The Bearded Lady

The bearded lady was a prominent feature at Victorian fayres, along with other 'attractions' that were considered taboo or curious. But we're restoring the honour and dignity of all bearded folk with our loving homage to the hairy.

Sugar Plum Fairy Scrub

Buff away tired winter skin in the bath or shower with our very sexy jasmine and ylang ylang scented sugar scrub.

Ummm i have no idea what this thing is called and i can't find it on the website.... but it smells divine and i think it might be a bubble bar! I look forward to using it anyway.

Karma Bubble Bar

Our signature scent created by Mark Constantine, head perfumer, will recreate the scent of Haight-Ashbury in the 1960s. They say that if you remember the sixties you weren’t really there, but this scent will revive the memories. If you’re too young to remember the sixties, Karma will help you travel back in time. Karma scent is a calming multi-layer fragrance of patchouli, eastern spices and uplifting orange to evoke feelings of peace and love, a peaceful bath that you’ll fall in love with. This orange and pink slice of bathing heaven will clean your conscience and ground your emotions, guiding you towards enlightenment . At LUSH we always encourage environmentally friendly acts that increase your Karma, so share your bath with others, by bathing in pairs you save water...we swear, it’s the only reason we recommend it... wink wink.

Jumping Juniper

Just because your hair tends to be greasy doesn't mean that it can't look wonderful too. We make Jumping Juniper with juniperberry oil because this particular essential oil, made by distilling dried fruit (like gin), is an excellent tonic for oily and congested scalps. Lavender is used for its ability to balance sebum production, so we use lots in Jumping Juniper, then we add lemon and lime to tone and refresh (and to make you hair smell even more like a gin and tonic).

I actually don't like this product at all, first of all i didn't actually read the description for ask what it was for when i purchased it so when i used this product for oily hair in my very colour treatment and dry hair needless to say it wasn't a match made in heaven. It smells quite nice but i just can't adapt to the idea of washing ones hair with a bar, and the textured parts that look like rice are just grosssss.

Snowcake Soap

Snowcake is the soap for you if you adore the marzipan scents of our Smitten hand cream. This creamy white soap is made with our palm-free base and smells even better this time. It softens and cleans your body and scents it with a long-lasting almond fragrance.

MY ABSOLUTE FREAKING FAVOURITE SOAP BY LUSH OF ALL TIME! It smells like heaven and is sooooooooooooooooooooooo soft and moisturising, i bought 3 big bad chunks of this guy and have already worked by way through one of them :(

Angels Delight Soap

This vibrant pink soap has been around for a few Christmases now, and it just keeps getting better with age. Since it's visit to earth last Christmas, we've refined our palm-free base and made a few adjustments; the results are heavenly.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas at Lush without that familiar pink hue glowing on the shelves. Yes, the Fairy is back again for her legion of fans.

Iced Wine Shower Jelly

A superbly fruity, tropical, frosty shower jelly to wash your body with (and your hair too!)
