Superficial Sydney: Worst Product Ever? Maybelline Colour Sensational Pop Sticks

What they say:

"Juicy, sheer shades from our fruit-coloured, high clarity pigments. Slicker shine, more luscious feel, only from our crystal clear gloss stick. Available in 5 shades."

What I say:

Awful, awful, awful - this is one of the worst products I have ever tried.

Maybelline's description for the popstick's is just perplexing.....

By referring to the products " fruit-coloured high clarity pigments" they are giving the impression they impart some sort of sheer fruity tinged pigment on the lips, in truth there is pretty much no pigment and the little pigmentation there is certainly doesn't show up on the lips. I even tried applying over my lips after removing all pigmentation with concealer and NOTHING...

So ok, let's just ignore that first half of Maybelline's claim's and go with it being a "crystal clear gloss stick", not what I expected but hey, I could live with that... Except it even has hard time doing that! There are only 2 things I would expect from a passable clear gloss:

1. Imparts some sort of semi-lasting shine and/or gloss on the lips

2. Keeps the lips moist and/or hydrated

It does NEITHER - my swatches with flash are very generous on the shine/gloss factor. It is very minimal and struggles to last around 15minutes on the lips before disappearing. As for hydration/moisture it actually felt like it was sucking the moisture OUT of my lips.... So after 15 minutes I was left feeling dry and pissed off.

I would not recommend anyone wastes their money on this product - unless of course the alternative is donating $5 bucks to al-Qaeda...........Bad joke?

Lastly I just want to stress that although in the swatches below you can see a smidgen of colour come off in the swatches it is because I have extremely fair skin and an amazing camera, the colour is barely visible to the human eye and would be non existent on even light-medium skin.
